Criteria for quality evaluation and monitoring are enshrined in some legal and regulatory acts on the territory of Russian Federation. In this publication, classification modelling of mentioned standards was presented due to principles that were described in scientific sources. As a result of this research, it was established that, besides directly the medical care criteria, criteria of medical care organization, of medical practice and criteria for evaluating the results of medical assistance were enshrined in legal framework. A number of criteria are indicators, because they are exact values expressed in units of measurement.
