The author points to the high rate of abortions as a reflection of the lack of awareness of the population about family<br />planning methods and gaps in social support for pregnant women. An analysis of domestic and foreign experience demonstrates that an<br />effective solution to the problem involves an integrated approach: improving the family planning system, improving the skills of medical<br />personnel, educational programs for adolescents and youth, as well as expanding government support measures and forming a positive<br />attitude towards motherhood in society. Special attention is paid to the role of culture and moral attitudes that influence reproductive<br />behavior.
