In order to study the dynamics and structure of scientific works that were published about his life and work from 1863 to 2023, this study used the bibliographic method. The analysis of 470 works on this topic made it possible to establish that during the life of I.M.Sechenov, 14 works were published about him (2.9%), the largest number of works 302 (64.4%) were published from 1945 to 1964. In subsequent years, the number of publications decreased and from 1965 to 2023 amounted to 86 (18.3%). The bulk of works about I.M.Sechenov was published in the form of articles in scientific journals 65.1% and book publications 31.3%, dissertations amounted to 3.6%. These publications prioritized the biography of I.M.Sechenov 42.1%, theory of reflexes 17.2%, scientific and pedagogical activities of Ivan Mikhailovich 16.2% and other topics. Taking into account the positive dynamics in the publication of these works over the past three decades, the main attention of biographers and researchers should be paid not to the repetition of well-known facts about I.M.Sechenov, but to search in the archives for new information about him and summarize in an accessible form previously published materials, on the example of which the future generation of doctors should be educated.<br /><br /></p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Ivan Mikhailovich Sechenov</kwd><kwd>scientific work</kwd><kwd>physiology</kwd><kwd>bibliographic analysis</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Иван Михайлович Сеченов</kwd><kwd>научный труд</kwd><kwd>физиология</kwd><kwd>библиографический анализ</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front>

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>Mirskij M.B.
