In the Russian Federation, there are no studies on career expectations of dentists yet. A proper understanding of the career expectations of future graduates of dental higher education institutions is important for the use of human resources to maximise the efficiency of the health care system. This study investigates the professional career expectations of future dentists. In the course of the study, a quantitative research-survey of 327 young dentists in different regions of the Russian Federation was conducted to achieve the stated objective. The results of the study showed various components that influence career expectations of dentists, key questions were highlighted and answered.
