The components of the educational practice of the Department for the History of Medicine, interactive elements of online coursesand specific solutions that made it possible to overcome problems arising in application of information technologies in traditional learning process in higher education are discussed. Complex online system for assessing students' knowledge in accordance with the point-rating system adopted at RUDN University is also described in this paper.
