Foreign scientists believe that in the context of unprecedented global population aging, we are faced with the need for an integrated approach to solving the interdisciplinary problem of healthy aging.
The purpose of the study was to analyze the modern understanding of the essence of the aging process and existing approaches to increasing life expectancy. Materials and methods. The paper uses the method of content analysis of scientific publications collected in the international databases Scopus, Web of Science and PubMed based on the keywords aging and life expectancy over a five-year period.
The results and their discussion. As a result of the work carried out, the modern view of foreign scientists on the aging process was clarified, which is the result of a combination of various biological processes and methods that optimize the aging process. A key tool for adapting the treatment of elderly cancer patients has been identified.
Conclusion. Aging is a multifactorial process associated with a decrease in functions and an increased risk of morbidity and mortality, which places ever-increasing demands on the healthcare infrastructure. Measures to promote healthy aging are important to maximize the quality of life of older people, increase life expectancy and minimize the burden on health systems.

<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>aging</kwd><kwd>life expectancy</kwd><kwd>health of the elderly</kwd><kwd>the aging process</kwd><kwd>strategies for maintaining and promoting health</kwd><kwd>overview</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>старение</kwd><kwd>продолжительность жизни</kwd><kwd>здоровье пожилых людей</kwd><kwd>процесс старения</kwd><kwd>стратегии по сохранению и укреплению здоровья</kwd><kwd>обзор</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front>

<back><ref-list><ref id="B1">1.<mixed-citation>Drozhdina E.P., Stolbovskaya O.V., Kurnosova N.A., Mikheeva N.A.
