It has been shown that in most countries of the world, rosacea is diagnosed on average in 5.5% of the able-bodied active population, mainly at the age of 45–60, and both men and women of all racial and ethnic populations are affected, but in men the disease occurs more often in more severe form. Of particular interest is the role of genetic factors, the innate and adaptive immune system, and neurovascular dysregulation underlying the spectrum of clinical signs of rosacea. Currently, the rosacea care algorithm is evolving in accordance with the phenotypic approach recommended by several regional and national authorities in clinical practice. However, the formal transition to this approach is still in its infancy, and significant support is required for its widespread adoption in everyday practice.
<kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>rosacea, prevalence, populations, risk factors, genetic predisposition, medical care, phenotypic approach, review</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>розацеа, распространенность, популяции, факторы риска, генетическая предрасположенность, оказание медицинской помощи, фенотипический подход, обзор</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Nowicka D., Chilicka K., Dzieńdziora-Urbińska I., Szyguła R.
