Human resources are the most important component of the domestic health care system. However, in recent years, insufficient attention has been paid to the human resources of health care in dentistry. This article deals with the issues of staffing of the city of Moscow with dentists. The results of a comprehensive analysis of the number and structure of dentists in the city of Moscow are presented. The issues of public and private medical organisations in dentistry are highlighted. Objective. To analyse the main indicators of medical personnel supply to the population and medical organizations providing dental care. Material and methods. The data provided by the health care authorities of Moscow city and the Russian Federation as a whole were analysed, electronic resources in the Internet were studied. Results and discussion: The results obtained in the course of this study showed that in the city of Moscow there is a staff surplus and an oversupply of dentists and medical organisations providing dental care.
