Abstract
The article is devoted to the experience of work on the prevention of alcoholism among the rural population of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Based on the data of a sociological study reflecting the opinions and assessments of villagers, the effectiveness of preventive measures carried out within the framework of the social project «Sober Village» is analyzed. The conducted research has shown that the project is an effective tool for the prevention of alcoholism, and also plays an important role in the social, cultural, social development of the village, positive changes in the socio-moral and psychological climate of rural settlements, the formation of active life strategies of rural residents.
