Shortcomings of the current nomenclature of medical services in the Russian Federation and the main areas for its improvement

Abstract
This article presents the results of an analysis of Section «A» of the nomenclature of medical services approved by Order No. 804n of the Russian Ministry of Health dated October 13, 2017. The article identifies the main problems and shortcomings in the classification of medical services in the current nomenclature. It also highlights commonalities and differences in approaches to systematizing medical interventions in the draft International Classification of Health Interventions proposed by the WHO and in the medical services in the nomenclature. Based on these findings, key areas for updating the nomenclature of medical services are proposed.
