Experience of Information Technologies application in teaching History of Medicine at RUDN University

Abstract


This article is devoted to successful experience of the RUDN University Department for the History of Medicine, in collaboration with the RUDN Scientific Library, in introduction of information technologies in the subject «History of Medicine” educational process. The components of the educational practice of the Department for the History of Medicine, interactive elements of online coursesand specific solutions that made it possible to overcome problems arising in application of information technologies in traditional learning process in higher education are discussed. Complex online system for assessing students' knowledge in accordance with the point-rating system adopted at RUDN University is also described in this paper. Such combination of face-to-face and online learning opportunities allows taking into account all intellectual activities of students aimed at mastering the discipline «History of Medicine».
